Mallappally to Thiruvalla walk started from CMSHSS, Mallappalli.The walk was inaugurated at 10am by Sri.Saji Chacko,member,Pathanamthitta district panchayath.Smt.Elizabeth jacob,President,Mallappalli grama pancjhayath presided over the function .The walk was flagged off by the grama panchayath president. Smt.Santhi P Nair, member, district panchayath,Smt.Elice John,Headmistress, Smt.Jessi.YG,principal and Jiji M Zakkaria,coordinator,NSS spoke.The walk received enthusiastic reception all along the route.The walk, when it reached Thiruvalla was welcomed by Adv.Mathew T Thomas,MLA.

The pathanamthitta-Alappuzha Diabetes walk organized by kNOw Diabetes project was launched on 3rd November 2011 by Sri. Oomman Chandi, Hon. Chief Minister of Kerala by handing over the logo ‘Blue Circle’ to the first batch of National service Scheme volunteers who lead the walk.The function held at Chief Minister’s chamber was attended by Sri.Anto Antony MP,Sri Vishnunath,MLA,Sri.Babu George (President, Pathanamthitta District panchayath)Sri.E G Raju(State coordinator, National Service Scheme) and Dr.G Vijayakumar, Project Director, kNOw Diabetes.
