Day 6 - Kozhenchery to Mallappally

Walk from Kozhenchery to Mallappally.Eventhough it is Sunday, hundreds of students enthusiastically joined the walk from Kozhanchery. They included nursing students,redcross members etc.Localself government leaders and the people from all walks of life also participated in the walk.
The walk was inaugurated by Sri.Sivadasan Nair ,Member of Kerala Legislative Assembly.CI of police flagged off the Walk.The walk team on the way met and received blessings from Most Rev. Mar Chrysostom MarThoma Valiya Metrapolitan. He advised the students to increase physical activities and to grow vegetables and fruit trees in the school campus.

The pathanamthitta-Alappuzha Diabetes walk organized by kNOw Diabetes project was launched on 3rd November 2011 by Sri. Oomman Chandi, Hon. Chief Minister of Kerala by handing over the logo ‘Blue Circle’ to the first batch of National service Scheme volunteers who lead the walk.The function held at Chief Minister’s chamber was attended by Sri.Anto Antony MP,Sri Vishnunath,MLA,Sri.Babu George (President, Pathanamthitta District panchayath)Sri.E G Raju(State coordinator, National Service Scheme) and Dr.G Vijayakumar, Project Director, kNOw Diabetes.
