Day 4 - Konni to Ranni

The Pathanamthitta-Alappuzha Diabetes Walk started from Konni at 10 am on 4th November,Saturday . The walk was inaugurated by Smt P Vijayamma Vice President, Pathanamthitta dist.Panchayath and it was flagged off by Sri Madhu Babu,CI of Police, Konni.Konni Grama panchayath president Sri Babu Veliyath presided over the function. In Mylapra panchayath all the Panchayath members Waited on the way to greet the walk team.District panchayath member Sri Robin peter accompanied the team for one full day.

The pathanamthitta-Alappuzha Diabetes walk organized by kNOw Diabetes project was launched on 3rd November 2011 by Sri. Oomman Chandi, Hon. Chief Minister of Kerala by handing over the logo ‘Blue Circle’ to the first batch of National service Scheme volunteers who lead the walk.The function held at Chief Minister’s chamber was attended by Sri.Anto Antony MP,Sri Vishnunath,MLA,Sri.Babu George (President, Pathanamthitta District panchayath)Sri.E G Raju(State coordinator, National Service Scheme) and Dr.G Vijayakumar, Project Director, kNOw Diabetes.
