The Pathanmthitta to Konni Walk was inaugurated by Sri.Babu George( President, Pathanamthitta district panchayath) and the walk was flagged off by Sri.Pulikesi,Additional DG P.Dr G Vijayakumar,project Director welcomed the guests. The function held at 10 am was presided over by Adv.A Suresh kumar, Chairman, Pathanamthitta. District Superintendent of Police Sri.K K Balachandran handed over the flag to the volunteers.Sri Robin Peter,District panchayath member and Dr Vidyadharan ,Dist.Programme manager NRHM spoke.

walk has begun
The pathanamthitta-Alappuzha Diabetes walk organized by kNOw Diabetes project was launched on 3rd November 2011 by Sri. Oomman Chandi, Hon. Chief Minister of Kerala by handing over the logo ‘Blue Circle’ to the first batch of National service Scheme volunteers who lead the walk.The function held at Chief Minister’s chamber was attended by Sri.Anto Antony MP,Sri Vishnunath,MLA,Sri.Babu George (President, Pathanamthitta District panchayath)Sri.E G Raju(State coordinator, National Service Scheme) and Dr.G Vijayakumar, Project Director, kNOw Diabetes.
