Day 2 - Pandalam to Pathanamthitta

The Pandalam to Pathanamthitta walk was inaugurated by Adv.Promod kumar(Block Panchayath President).The function held at NSS HSS,pandalam at 12 noon was presided over by Adv.Prathapan(President,Pandalam Grama panchayath).Smt Girija teacher delivered the keynote address.Sri S Nandakumar,C I,Pandalam flagged off the walk.The Walk was accompanied for a few kilometers by NCC and NSS volunteers.

The pathanamthitta-Alappuzha Diabetes walk organized by kNOw Diabetes project was launched on 3rd November 2011 by Sri. Oomman Chandi, Hon. Chief Minister of Kerala by handing over the logo ‘Blue Circle’ to the first batch of National service Scheme volunteers who lead the walk.The function held at Chief Minister’s chamber was attended by Sri.Anto Antony MP,Sri Vishnunath,MLA,Sri.Babu George (President, Pathanamthitta District panchayath)Sri.E G Raju(State coordinator, National Service Scheme) and Dr.G Vijayakumar, Project Director, kNOw Diabetes.
