Day 12 - Haripad to Ambalappuzha

The walk on the 12th November set out from Haripad at 10 am.The walk was inaugurated by Sri.P M Chandran,President Haripad Grama Panchayath.The function was presided over by Smt.Sreedevi Rajan and Sri T Manoj,Principal Sub Inspector flagged off the walk.The walk was given rousing reception at various places and hundreds of participants joined the walk from different centres.Th walk reached Ambalappuzha by evening.

The pathanamthitta-Alappuzha Diabetes walk organized by kNOw Diabetes project was launched on 3rd November 2011 by Sri. Oomman Chandi, Hon. Chief Minister of Kerala by handing over the logo ‘Blue Circle’ to the first batch of National service Scheme volunteers who lead the walk.The function held at Chief Minister’s chamber was attended by Sri.Anto Antony MP,Sri Vishnunath,MLA,Sri.Babu George (President, Pathanamthitta District panchayath)Sri.E G Raju(State coordinator, National Service Scheme) and Dr.G Vijayakumar, Project Director, kNOw Diabetes.
